My knitting Genie's been busy again this week. As I've mentioned before my knitting Genie is a dab hand at getting me what I need, not so much at getting me what I want - unfortunately! Anyway, a lady in my knitting group is having trouble hand knitting so I said I'd bring in my knitting looms for her to give loom knitting a go. The only problem was I didn't have any super chunky yarn..... or the loom hook come to think of it! Hooks are cheap, super chunky yarn is not! so you can imagine my delight at finding two balls of Lion Brand Ease Thick and Quick yarn just waiting to be purchased for £1 a ball in a charity shop which is notoriously rubbish and expensive to boot! I'm not sure if this is my good fortune or I'm supposed to pass it on to my student (at cost of course). I think I'll see how she takes to loom knitting. If it's the answer to her knitting needs then at least one of the balls of yarn is hers with my blessing. The other will be used with one of the many supersized knitting needles I've added to my stash over the years but have never got around to using.
