I was doing my usual Saturday morning shop when I discovered a new yarn in Poundland. I initially only picked up one ball, priding my self on my frugality, but then I decided I wanted more so I went back to get it - frugality is rubbish, not doing that again, it just makes you do things twice. What swayed my decision to kick the budget to the curb and just get the yarn whilst it was still available was reading that the yarn had a 20% wool content. A 100gram ball of chunky yarn with some, if not much wool has got to be worth a pound - surely.
I'm not usually overly impressed with Poundland yarn, it's ok for the money and if you're not going to wash it too much, but I thought I'd give this one a go. I ended up buying 4 balls just in case I do like it as it would make (part) of a nice jumper or some nice chunky socks. The chunky yarn comes in four shades, the charcoal grey being my favourite. I'm working on some crochet samples at the moment so I may throw in a few darker, chunky samples to show off the versitility of crochet, it's not all flouncy stuff you know, crochet can be quite sombre if you try hard enough! I'm in an internet cafe at the moment and my phone is at home charging, so pictures to follow. Home I go to bring some order to the abode. Goodbye
